Great Kit

I was lucky enough to buy this kit during the Black Friday sale. I got it for a great price, so I kept that in mind as I put it together and ran into a few issues. The parts in the kits were excellent quality. Every thing fit well together and only a few parts needed light sanding to fit. The directions need to be more clear on a few things and some are out of order, like gluing the bulkhead into the nose cone before finishing the rocket and checking the center of gravity. You will need to get an aluminum bulkhead to mount the shock cord to the motor tube. You will also need an aluminum engine retainer, because there's no room for the cheaper flat plate retainer. You will have to consider getting a larger main parachute than what is supplied with the kit to keep under 22 feet per second decent. The 36" parachute that comes with the kit, barely fits with the parachute protector and the shock cord in the payload section, so you will have to pack it tight to fit the 48" parachute you will need to be under 22fps. The rocket came out great, looks like it will rip through the air, and didn't need any added weight to the nose cone to stay two body tube diameters away from the center of pressure. The best part was that Madcow's service department helped me with the three questions/issues I had, so I do thank them for that. I can't wait to paint my rocket and launch it for the first time.
